Rare Leavenworth Live Pigeon Release Trap
From the days of live pigeon shooting, before glass target balls and the first clay targets live pigeons were used. The pigeon/s were contained in the metal box like this variation of the ‘Leavenworth’ trap (see photos) and released by the operator for the firer to shoot at.
These traps are rarely seen, and would be a great addition to a bygones museum, target shooting club or similar.
