Fine set of Greyhound Coursing Slip Leads
These were used to restrain the coursing greyhounds by the slipper; once the hare passed the shy on the coursing field it was given 100 yards ‘law’ (headstart) before the hounds were slipped simultaneously. The object being to turn the hare to achieve points, not to kill it
Fine, original condition, appear to be unused and museum quality; fully complete and functional. Long since banned by law, these serve as relics of a bygone age.
