This one is huge!
Mid-1800s English Large Wrought Iron Animal or Man Trap. Provenance: Hooton Pagnell Hall, Yorkshire, private collection.
Well over 5 feet long, with huge 18” square jaws, riveted for teeth below the jaws, this fearsome relic of the Georgian period is a really great decorative antique. Has maker marks W.W stamped onto the base bar. Rusted patina, uncleaned, as sourced. All original, no repairs
Would be the centrepiece of a country bygones or trap collection, or a great talking point in a large inglenook fireplace at a country home
